Human Face of Climate Change: From Risk to Resilience in Indian Cities
Tandem Research & Asia Foundation
6 March 2019, Juniper Hall, Indian Habitat Center. 3-6 pm.
Human Face of Climate Change: From Risk to Resilience in Indian Cities draws attention to the stories of individuals living in the informal settlements of Delhi, Agra and Panjim and how climate change impacts affect their daily lives. Building resilience would require strengthening capacities of social groups to access urban systems. There needs to be paradigm shift in climate policy — moving away from a disaster risk reduction paradigm to one of building coping capacities among vulnerable communities to a range of climate-induced changes.
