The Monsoon Academy, Goa, August 20-23: Planning for Climate Resilience in Urban Areas
The Monsoon Academy brings the latest in climate resilience practice to urban planning.
Urban populations are at risk of current and future climate impacts including a rising toll of cyclones, coastal erosion, heat waves and water crises like droughts and floods. This is increasingly precarious as urban areas are connected to global economics and regional ecosystems. Currently, urban resilience is at the forefront of sectors where planning, investment and implementation lag well behind growing climate risks.
In association with the Global Climate Adaptation Partnership, we are hosting a three-day course in Goa to all in an existing specialism, or with a newfound responsibility and interest, in the integration of climate change management into development planning, projects and policy.
